On January 16, 2024, Mr. Pan Qingjiang, Consul General of China in Johannesburg, paid a call on Mr. Mxolisi Dukwana, Premier of the Free State Province.

Consul General Pan briefed the Premier about the China-South Africa relations, China’s cooperation with Free State, and the outcomes of the Central Conference on Work Relating to Foreign Affairs held in Beijing. Pan saidthat the Chinese Consulate General is ready to work hand in hand with the Free State Government to implement the important consensus reached by the heads-of-state of China and South Africa, by actively undertaking pragmatic cooperation in various fields, so that the two peoples can benefit more from the common development.

Premier Dukwana said that he hasconducted a very fruitful visit to China last September, and the Free State Government has always attached great importance to its relations with China.He thanked China for its long-term support for the development of Free State and promised that the provincial government will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields.
