Acting Consul General Zhou Yujiang Meets with General Manager Yang Jian ofFAW Vehicle Manufacturers SA (Pty) Ltd

On November 2, Zhou Yujiang, Acting Consul General in Johannesburg, met with General Manager Yang Jian of FAW Vehicle Manufacturers SA (Pty) Ltdand his delegation at the Consulate General.

Yang reported on the company's development history and business operations in South Africa, as well as its plan to gradually increase investment in neighboring markets.

Zhou congratulated the company on its business performance in recent years, and affirmed the company's contribution to China-South Africa economic and trade cooperation over the past 30 years. Zhou said that the continuous deepening of political mutual trust between China and South Africa has provided a stable environment in general for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. Under the leadership of the two Heads of States, China and South Africa have achieved fruitful results in jointly building the "Belt and Road". He hoped that the company could seize the opportunities, make use of its brand advantages, build an advanced manufacturing company with international competitiveness, influence and local popularity, deepen and solidify the economic and trade cooperation between China and South Africa throughthe high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road", and enrich the "golden era" of China-South Africarelations. Zhou raised requirements and suggestions on the company's social responsibility fulfillment, safety risk prevention and compliant employment.

Yang thanked Zhou for his guidance and said that the company will strengthen its businessfurther, work harder to expand into neighboring markets, and play an active role in promoting China-South Africa economic and trade cooperation.
