Latest Information about Novel Coronavirus Cases in China

On June 19, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 27 new cases of confirmed infections (4 imported cases, 3 in Guangdong province and 1 in Shanghai municipality; 23 indigenous cases, 22 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Hebei province), 4 new cases of suspected infections (all are indigenous cases in Beijing), and no deaths. 12 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 232 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of severe cases remained unchanged.

As of 24:00 on June 19, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,868 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,785 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 83 confirmed cases (no cases severe cases) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on June 19, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,352 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 78,410 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 308 confirmed cases (including 13 cases severe cases) and 11 suspected cases. 756,223 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 6,023 were still under medical observation.

On June 19, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 7 new asymptomatic cases (including 5 imported cases). 9 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 8 imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 19, 108 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 57 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on June 19, 1,618 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,127 in Hong Kong (4 had died and 1,074 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 446 in Taiwan (7 had died and 434 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
