Latest Information about Novel Coronavirus Cases in China

On June 4, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 5 new cases of confirmed infections (all are imported cases, 4 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Sichuan province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 8 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 508 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Severe cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on June 4, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,768 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,707 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 61 confirmed cases (no cases severe cases) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on June 4, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,027 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 78,327 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 66 confirmed cases (including 1 severe cases) and 2 suspected cases. So far, 746,349 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 4,117 are now under medical observation.

On June 4, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 3 new asymptomatic cases (including 1 imported case). 31 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 2 imported cases) and 1 (imported case) became a confirmed case. As of 24:00 on June 4, 297 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 41 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on June 4, 1,587 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,099 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 1,042 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 443 in Taiwan (7 had been dead and 428 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
